History
For 50 years, College Bike Shop has served motorcycle enthusiasts in the Lansing area. We’re one of the oldest and most trusted Honda dealerships in the nation, and our reputation is built on decades of strong customer service, quality merchandise and passion for motorsports.
In 1944, Vaughan and Billie Vandecar founded College Bike Shop in East Lansing, Michigan. The shop, in those days, carried bicycles and motorbikes, and served the community around Michigan State University. In 1969, the shop discontinued bicycle sales in order to focus on the growing demand for motorcycles, four-wheelers and dirt bikes. The Vandecar family ran College Bike Shop until 1980, when long-time employee Doug Sears took over the business. The Sears family worked hard to increase inventory, and in 1983 moved the shop to a larger location in downtown Lansing.
College Bike Shop, still run by the Sears family, is proud to offer the finest quality new and used motorcycles in the area.
